CHARITY FUNDRAISING

HUMAN BEING ACTIVE ... HELPS CHARITIES AND COMMUNITY PROJECTS.
HBA is a social enterprise set up to promote a healthy active lifestyle. Part of this is to encourage people of all standards, abilities and ages to take part in activity based events.

All the events directly organised by HBA support a range of worthy causes either by funding and or raising the awareness. Where possible, part of the funds raised by the entry fees into the event are donated at the end of each year to the projects and causes that are of real benefit to the .....

Fusion 5k Summer Series and Children's Fun Runs -
7th-Jun 5th-Jul 9th-Aug 2012

All of the Fusion 5k Summer Series start and finish at the Llanelli Leisure Centre and each is on a Thursday evening at 7:00 pm.

Held within Llanelli's beautiful Millennium Coastal Park ... there are not many places that could better the stunning scenery for this type of event.

The traffic free terrain is perfect and the course is considered flat with a few very mild undulations.

At the event refreshments will be available. There is also ample car-parking ... and it's free

THERE IS ALSO A JUNIOR FUN RUN for anyone below the age of 14 ... MORE

Llanelli's first open sea swim and run. This will be the perfect event for those trying a multi-sports event for the first time or for those preparing for a spring triathlon ... further details available soon

Great Welsh Walkathon - 30th September
A female only walking event over 5k, 10k or half marathon in aid of the charity Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust

GREAT WELSH MARATHON 2012 ...
Well done and thank you to all who helped and took part in the third Llanelli Star – Great Welsh Marathon. There was a fantastic turnout, with people travelling from as far as Italy, Germany and France to take part in the race.

Almost 500 entered the 26.2 mile challenge, which took place in the stunning beauty of Carmarthenshire’s Millennium Coastal Park. Human Being Active has provided yet another successful event that continues to grow in stature. This greatly helps promote the regions brilliant leisure & tourism attractions and also supports charities and many local organisations ... MORE

Entries will soon be open for the HBA-5-10-20 set for the 9th December 2012 and the Llanelli Santa Dash set for the 18th November this year. The HBA-5-10-20 is a out an back run over 5, 10 or 20 mile distances and the Santa Dash is a family fun event that will take place during the Llanelli Christmas Carnival ... MORE SOON

SCARLETS STADIUM START & FINISH 2013 ...

Llanelli is one of the most famous rugby towns in the world. It is the focal point for one of the most passionately supported rugby clubs, the Scarlets - with a rich and unrivalled rugby heritage.

The Scarlets new state of the art stadium in Pemberton Llanelli is a testament to the success and continual development of the sport in this region of Wales.

The Scarlets Stadium also acts as hub for many other sports practiced in West Wales.

From athletics to football; ... this wonderful stadium it is fast becoming a centre of Welsh sporting excellence.

HBA is proud to work with the Scarlets and Carmarthenshire County Council to take its big events to the next level. The Llanelli Waterside Half Marathon ... the first HBA event to move to the stadium in 2013, is already the third largest running event in Wales, with only the Cardiff Half Marathon and the Swansea Bay 10k having greater numbers of participants ...
